MY WORK: set Brightness, Waiting II

The Wait II, Oil on canvas 100x100 cm 2011

(Dedicated to star Altair)

Star Altair, who has been kind enough to show some of my pictures on his blog, told me that interested in the stories I write about the motivation of my paintings. Therefore I will tell in this post what circumstances surrounding the pregnancy of Table I present, Waiting.

The landscape that inspired me belongs to Canseco, a mountain town of León where I usually spend a few seasons. In summer the meadows parched golden light flooded the atmosphere, and for us these painters lights are like candy. In the evening I take long walks with my friends. On this occasion it was to climb some mountains which are erected on a rocky elevations carved in places, forming caves. This property gets the place its name: Entrecuevas.

I'm always very hard and hope to these rides, but alas friends at the moment he sees a slight rise in the road, my body alone serrano protest turns, thus operating in my splitting person sci-fi, my spirit flies with my teammates and my physical body is stranded as a stake.

And so it happened on this occasion: the heat five in the afternoon, the lightness of my friends, the huge rocks and slopes, and why not say it, the wobble of my camera, the conclave decided that this mind slightly, gripped by a few extra kilos, had to do the next two hours waiting for their return.

I saw them go up and up, more and more little, and disappear. Then the first thing I did was sit under a big tree, and little by little, as he was dying of fatigue that I was the only attempt to climb a rock, I began to enjoy the soft breeze, the white clouds of shadows and lights caused by sun and began its decline. There was a moment I was so concentrated that the sky seemed to project over the field, which was dyed blue and purple. Those were special times for me there alone in the silence of the mountain. This experience is what I wanted to express in my painting.

I show some photos of the ride. Happy all my friends and I got his challenge, as always in the Batuecas, hahaha.

My friends moved off to the caves. I had already given up. You can see the caves at the top right.

sounds easy, but it is not. The lower left group.
